PiggyBanker.io (“PiggyBanker,” “we,” “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of accounting data we access from Intuit® QuickBooks Online (“QBO”) on behalf of our clients. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we secure it, and the choices you have.

1. What We Collect

  • OAuth credentials: QBO access and refresh tokens (via OAuth 2.0).

  • QBO company data: Chart of accounts, journal entries, invoices, payments, balances (read-only).

  • Basic profile info: Company name, contact name, email address.

  • Chat metadata: Chat timestamps and usage logs (no message content).

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account logins, or payroll files.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To sync QBO data into our analysis tool.

  • To calculate financial KPIs and generate natural-language reports.

  • To detect fraud or misuse, and meet compliance obligations.

We never sell or rent data to third parties.

3. Sub-Processors
We use trusted providers under written agreements:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) – encrypted storage and hosting.

  • OpenAI, LLC – chat summarization via API (limited, transient usage).

  • Cloudflare – secure transport and firewall protection.

4. Security Measures

  • Encryption in transit: TLS 1.2+

  • Encryption at rest: AES-256 (AWS KMS)

  • Access control: Role-based permissions and MFA

  • Token handling: Stored encrypted; revoked on disconnect

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Active clients: data retained for analysis and audit history.

  • Upon disconnect: all synced data and tokens deleted within 30 days.

  • You may request earlier deletion by contacting clay@piggybanker.io

6. Your Rights

  • You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data.

7. International Transfers
All data is processed and stored in the United States.

8. Children
This service is not intended for users under the age of 18.

9. Changes
Material changes will be posted here with updated effective dates.
